At KRIMS a 44 years female patient having menorthagia causing Haemoglobin drop to 6 gram was found to have a big Uterine fibroid upto umbilicus Patient weighed more than 85kgs.
She was taken for Abdominal Hysterectomy through Transverse Pflanesteil incision after correction of Anemia.
The chief surgeon was Dr. Meena Patil assisted by Dr. Yamini Alsi and Dr Rita Gupta was the anesthetist. A big fibroid of more than 15cm was removed with conservation of ovaries.
Patient was discharged on 3rd day uneventfully.
